PODCAST: Road to Sam Highlights
Four nights before the 2017 All Ireland Final a full house came to the Herbert Park Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin for The Road to Sam.
Hosted by The Information Lab Ireland, we previewed the final using data gathered since 2001 by Rob Carroll of Gaelic Stats and The Information Lab.
Rob was joined by Data Analyst & GAA novice Andy Kriebel from the USA and from a little closer to home by Donegal All Ireland winner, Eamon McGee.
With the help of Rob’s data, the three discussed the teams chances of winning this year’s title.
Starting with kick outs, the panel looked at the two team’s defensive statistics before assessing their shot making and shot accuracy.
We looked at some of each team’s key players and finally predicted who would come away with the Sam Maguire in 2017.
