Tableau’s latest release, Tableau 2022.1, is here! This update boasts a whole host of new features designed to create increased efficiencies across the platform, ultimately helping users to easily access the insights they need to make the best business decisions.
We’ve included some details on the features we’re most excited about below.
Workbook Optimizer
The primary purpose of the workbook optimizer is to empower users with guidance on how to get the most out of the workbook. Users will receive clear notifications showing them what adheres to best practice, actions that need to be reviewed, i.e. actions that may impede functionality elsewhere, as well as tailored recommendations.
Improved Search Experience
Tableau search experience has been redesigned to ensure easy access to the most relevant content. The new algorithm bases search results on signals like text relevance, popularity and recency to ensure you can easily find the data you need.
Ask Data Phrase Builder
Improvements to the Ask Data feature lower the level of analytical proficiency required to get to the right insights, particularly in cases where the user doesn’t have a clear intent in mind or the data in question doesn’t match well with natural language. By using filters and a guided point and click function, the new Ask Data feature makes it easier than ever to access the data you need.
Backgrounder Resource Limits
This new feature will make it easier to optimise the performance of Tableau Server by allowing you to set limits on the number of background jobs that can run on the site at the same time.
