For this month’s Tableau User Group Ireland we are going all out, high-speed and super duper dynamic with a tinderbox of Tableau Tips for our users in Ireland. We are delighted to announce that Daniel Ling & Siobhán Purcell from The Information Lab Ireland will be joined by Lorna Brown from the TIL team in the UK.
This promises to be a fast-paced spectacle full of great ideas from the best in the dataviz biz so book your place early and don’t forget to tell your colleagues and friends.
Data Consultant, The Information Lab Ireland
Manchester’s Daniel Ling joined The Information Lab Ireland June 2018.
His visualisations have featured several times on Tableau Public and he is amongst the most popular Tableau authors in Ireland.
Dan is an active member of the Makeover Monday, Workout Wednesday & Sportsviz Sunday user groups. In his spare time, though we don’t know where he gets it, he plays golf, hangs out with his three children, follows Man Utd and keeps himself busy building things with LEGO.
“Looking back to how manual everything was amazes me as I now take Tableau’s speed and ease of use for granted,” he says.
Data Consultant, The Information Lab Ireland
Siobhán’s data journey has involved biological research at Trinity College Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and rapidly evolving technologies inevitably led her to Tableau, and The Information Lab.
“I’m always impressed by its ability to generate beautiful and interactive stories and dashboards,” she says.
Data Consultant & Tableau Zen Master, The Information Lab UK
Lorna is a speeding tipping magician, who loves to give back to the community.
She started her journey as part of The Information Lab’s Data School in 2015.
Lorna co-leads two community projects, Workout Wednesday with Zen Masters, Ann Jackson and Luke Stanke, along with other community members, and Tableau Tip Tuesday with Hall of Fame Zen Master Andy Kriebel.
She also co-leads the North West UK Tableau User Group in her spare time. The community is a big part of Lorna, and she wants to do all she can to give back.
Lorna loves her cats and sports, especially Rugby League.
